We seek highly motivated, responsible and talented individuals and are currently hiring new and experienced photographers, assistants, customer service team members, and a photo editor.

We offer a flexible schedule making these positions perfect for college students, or someone that has a part time or full time job already and wants to earn extra money or learn or advance their photography skills.

Picture Day Photographer

Do you enjoy taking portraits? Do you enjoy being around and feel comfortable with kids? Are you available on Saturdays in Spring and Fall? Do you enjoy the outdoors?

If you answered yes, you have come to the right place!!

We have an opening for a sports portrait photographer during our league picture days.

Ideal candidate has some experience working with Canon DSLRs, has a good understanding of basic camera functions, has an eye for detail & composition, is reliable and has reliable transportation. You’ll be using our equipment and we’ll train you to use it. Most importantly the ideal candidate has patience, is familiar with and enjoys working with kids.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in a portrait studio setting and/or outdoor setting, preferred but not mandatory
Knowledge of basic DSLR camera functions and terminology preferred (equipment will be provided)
An eye for detail and technical proficiency are essential qualities
Previous experience working with children and the ability to make them feel at ease
Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
Willing to work a varied seasonal schedule, including early mornings and long days
Demonstrate a positive and professional image with excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure

Hours and Location:

This is a part-time/seasonal job (Spring – Fall) that involves working mainly on Saturdays from approximately 7:00AM until 3:00PM and (if available) occasionally on some weekday evenings approximately 5 – 8PM.

Photo shoots are at various locations in and around the Fresno area and the Central Valley.

Must have reliable transportation to reach assigned locations.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., able to withstand long periods of sitting and repetitive squatting.

Compensation: Based on experience

Photography Assistant

Do you enjoy working around kids? How about being outdoors? Have an interest in photography?

We are looking for a photographer’s assistant for our sports leagues picture days. You’ll be working directly with kids helping them pose.

Ideal candidate should be energetic, reliable, doesn’t mind being on feet for long periods, excellent eye for detail and of course has patience and enjoys working with kids.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Work directly with a photographer to pose players during youth sports picture day
Provide clear direction and expectations for players, coaches and parents
Work closely with other staff to maintain proper picture day work flow
Represent Pro Shots in a professional manner at all times
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Previous experience working with children and the ability to make them feel at ease
Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
Willing to work a varied seasonal schedule, including early mornings and long days
Demonstrate a positive and professional image with excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
An excellent eye for detail
Ability to work well under pressure

Photo Editor

Do you enjoy working on photos in Lightroom and/or Photoshop? Do you have an interest in photography or graphic design?

We are looking for a part time photo editor.

Ideal candidate will be highly motivated, a quick-learner and organized with a strong attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to take initiative and work independently. Experience or a strong interest in photography and graphic design a plus.

Ideal candidate will also have some experience with Lightroom and a basic working knowledge of Photoshop using layers and masks. Must be able to visually recognize how an image should be cropped and what basic corrections it needs in a short amount of time.

Duties and Responsibilities may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Photo editing to include cropping, sizing and color adjustments
Edit images using Lightroom, Photoshop, and other programs
Data entry within various specialized programs
Assembly, packaging and shipping of photo products
General office duties as needed

Necessary Knowledge and Skills:

Experience using photo editing software including Adobe Lightroom
Understanding of basic features in Photoshop including layer masking
Ability to work independently and retain information in a fast-paced environment
Experience with studio lighting, and Digital SLRs a plus but not necessary
Must have a high degree of accuracy
Computer proficient

Compensation based on experience

Customer Service

Do you enjoy working around kids? How about being outdoors? Have an interest in photography?

We are looking for someone that enjoys people and providing friendly accurate service to customers in a fast paced environment.

Must be energetic hard working, team-oriented, friendly, honest and have great customer skills. A positive attitude and reliable transportation are also a must.

Functions and Responsibilities:

Work directly with parents, coaches and players during youth sports picture day
Greet, check-in and instruct coaches on picture day procedures
Greet and assist parents with completing order forms and answering questions
Accept cash, check, credit card payments and make change
Manage picture day schedule
Work closely with other staff to maintain proper picture day work flow
Represent Pro Shots in a professional manner at all times
Keep the work area organized
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail
Critical thinking and ability to troubleshoot problems
Ability and experience making correct change
Knowledge of using bank card machines
Demonstrate a positive and professional image with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to work with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
Willing to work a varied seasonal schedule, including early mornings and long days
Bilingual helpful but not required
